FW-190F-8/M82

 

In 1944 the soviets captured a Focke Wulf 190 and replaced the engine and cowling by the one from a Lavochkin La-5. Kind of a rhinoplasty if you think about it.

The paint job is completely hypothetical as I was unable to find any picture -only line drawings- of this aircraft. I aimed for something that would look like most of the soviet fighters in the '44-'45 era. 

The Fw-190 is the ARII kit, the nose from the La-5 is from Hobbycraft. Scale is 1/48

February 2022 Club Meeting and Other Information

 February 2022 Meeting Minutes

Old Business: 

• July 9th 7am-2pm NCMCC car show at Loveland Sports Complex. The club will judge and award winners of model contest entries. Dennis Book will be contact for the project 

• Nationals July 20-23 in Omaha quick head count of around 8+ members plan to attend. 

• HPM Contest - Early October if possible. Themes to come. Michael is contest chairman for 2022 (Thank you Michael!) New Business: 

• Two new model car contests coming up: - March 12-13 Scale Model Contest - National Western Complex (tri state auto show) - April 23 - Rumble in the Rockies - Hobby Town, Westminster 

• Possible Sponsorship of Nationals. Motion carried $110 to $90 depending in availability 

• Club Entry at Nationals - Possible themes: Covid, High Plains, Colorado 

• Tomasz mentioned possible loss of availability of models from Russian & Ukraine - Email with information and vendors was sent to club members. (See more information in Other Information section below)

• March Presentation - Airbrush cleaning by Larry

• Possible presentation by George on dioramas in June

ALL AMERICAN CAR SHOW Details

The All-American Car Show is inviting contestants for the Model Show in Loveland, CO ages 17 or younger. Please see the details below: Model Building contest for Cars & Trucks only. Eligible contestants are those who are 17 or younger. Fee: Free to enter Model Build contest. Main event: All American Car Show. Date: Saturday July 13th, 2024. Time: 8am - 2pm (Model contest judging at 11am). Location: Loveland Sports Complex, 950 N. Boyd Lake Ave. Loveland, CO. Awards: Best in Show: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Note: Those who wish to bring their model car or truck just for show and no award is open to all ages.
